Dashwerks was created to unite bleeding edge telematics technology, infotainment software, and turnkey solutions with vendors, vehicle manufacturers, aftermarket consumers, and telematics service providers.
By integrating the rapidly evolving computer and transportation industries, Dashwerks is catalyzing the integration of the two industries.
Our History
Dashwerks was founded by Christopher Bergeron late in 1999 while studying Computer Science at Florida State University.
The then 'hobby' project began to garner a following and over time evolved into the entity that is now known as Dashwerks Incorporated.
Our early beginnings can be seen in our Dashwerks VW prototype vehicle.
Throughout our development, Mr. Todd E. Johnson simultaneously built an equally impressive vehicle: The Dashwerks GM prototype vehicle.
As our product base continued to grow, Dashwerks was born.
Dashwerks, Inc. was originally founded by Christopher M. Bergeron. Shortly thereafter, Todd E. Johnson officially joined the company.
Todd continues to work for the United States Department of Treasury and he takes great pride in both his technology prowess and his integrity (which his Top Secret Security clearance clearly demonstrates).
To date - his contributions to the Dashwerks venture have proven truly invaluable.
A seasoned Java ™ programmer, Todd is currently developing a core component of the flagship Dashwerks product - The Dashwerks Telematics Server™.
The Dashwerks Telematics Server (DWTS) is a complete telematics solution built upon the commercial version of the DashPC™ Human Machine Interface (HMI) software framework.
Dashwerks was the first dedicated telematics solutions provider.
While many companies portend to provide vehicle consulting or technology integration, Dashwerks has a proven track record of providing solutions to OEMs, service providers and consumers.
All of which happened before most of our competitors even existed!
Dashwerks was designed around the internet.
The core of our company was designed for the information age, the telecommuting masses, and the new global economy.
With resource distribution across the United States (and around the world) - it quickly became apparent that Dashwerks had to develop in a way that no company ever has.
Fitting in nicely with our pioneering mantra, we are a company that's highly "tuned" to the new business world.
We've developed as a truly technologically aware corporation from the ground up.
While other companies try to mold their existing business models to fit the new technology age, we've grown up as not only a tech-friendly company, but a truly tech-enhanced company.
Our IP Portfolio
Our Intellectual Property Portfolio is handled by the Atlanta based Bass Law Group, LLC.
As our company and our ideas grow, we work hard to protect our innovative IP.
Unlike other companies, we don't 'hoard' IP or try to obtain senseless patents.
Idea generation at Dashwerks is as critically evaluated as is it freely encouraged.
Before we even approach our IP guys, we evaluate the security of the property.
As our Portfolio continues to expand, you can rest assured that Dashwerks' technology is either completely original or legally licensed/implemented, innovative (if not revolutionary) and legally secure.
